Eat fruit—don't drink 'em

"Skip juice and eat the whole fruit, instead. You’ll not only get more heart-healthy fiber in your diet (3.5 g for a small apple versus .5 g in a glass of juice), you’ll also stay satisfied, longer. Research shows that fiber aside, liquid carbohydrates just aren’t as filling as solids. "When you chew a food, you generate more saliva, which in turn carries a message to the brain that your gut needs to get ready for digestion," explains Koff. "Drinking doesn’t require such digestion, so the body doesn’t register that it’s full as quickly." Plus there are the extra calories—48% more if you’re drinking that juice rather than eating the whole apple. (Do that daily and you may gain up to 4 pounds by year’s end.)"

What if we can run without shoes?

I was reading that it seems as per Harvard investigators, if we run without our sport shoes we can have more benefits for our health.
This theory is based on the scientists found that those who run without shoes, fall into the front of the foot, which causes less impact on the body. When running with shoes, usually supported foot heel down, which generates a strong impact which is about two or three times the body weight.

So... are you willing to run without shoes??

Remembering Gandhi

There is no such thing as "Gandhism", and I do not want to leave any sect after me. I do not claim to have originated any new principle or doctrine. I have simply tried in my own way to apply the eternal truths to our daily life and problems...The opinions I have formed and the conclusions I have arrived at are not final. I may change them tomorrow. I have nothing new to teach the world. Truth and nonviolence are as old as the hills..

Bamboo Forest of Sagano

This bamboo forest is one of the most beautiful bamboo forests in Japan.

The sound of the wind in this bamboo forest has been voted as one of "one hundred must-be-preserved sounds of Japan" by the Japanese government.

Back in the 1870s when Edison was looking for a good bamboo as a material of a filament for his early light bulb, the governor of Kyoto recommended two sources for bamboo, this being one of them. Edison used the other one.

That's life, and you, how you want to be?

We are the creators of our own life, she will respond to our expectations.

You have to accept that things are not as one would like; you have to realize that there are possibilities and alternatives.

Understand that we must expand and become aware of the difficulties in achieving the goals, it's different to justify them.

Good and bad are judgments that makes our mind; only that.

 Traditions or Instincts.

We have lost traditions and values that shape our behavior.

We constantly make decisions to adjust  the changes to which we are exposed.

The security given by these mechanisms has been lost.

Our instincts, many times don't guide us.

HAPPIER, LESS STRESSED

We believe the implications are clear, we want to achieve health, well-being and happiness, but wishing is not enough.

The desire to be complemented by rational analysis and the proper action, we create to make sense of our lives.

This is why we say that life does not give us anything for free and have to pay the price.

Help, Receiving, Ask

One of the hardest things in life is receiving help.

We live with the illusion of self-sufficiency, we think we have power and intelligence to solve the situations we face and our pride keeps denying for or receiving help because it may be seem a sign of weakness that we do not want to show to world.

Many times we do not realize is most important, useful and profitable prevent than repair and stubbornly persist with our old habits, our old beliefs and practices become harmful for not wanting to make the effort to change them.

But its necessary to understand the reasons why we adopt these behaviors.

Make a new or change directions, requires a waste of energy that makes us uncomfortable and requires a very powerful impulse to induce us to make changes.

If there is a very powerful motivation, even though we can intellectually appreciate that the information we receive is important, we prefer to follow the easy path that we already know and we can always find an excuse.

Our past

In this post I will not speak about our life...
I will speak about our roots, our grandparents.

Now days people might think, they are hindrance and obstacle for our lives.

Do not believe that!

If you may know someone that can think like this, you can always try to explain to that person or invite them to read my posts.

Grand Parents its like the word it self Grand, they will always have a story to tell, they are in a different level of knowledge. They  have lived life, they can teach you not to make the same mistakes or worst, they can take care of you, if you are without parents, because parents are occupied working. They can cook for you, they can take you to a school play, they are a very important support for our lives. They are our roots.

We need to  treasure them more, hear them, love them.

 El camino a la Felicidad...

No te la pases gimiendo por tus desgracias,
pronosticando tragedias imaginarias
o asustado por males
que probablemente
nunca lleguen.
Nacemos para luchar por la felicidad…
para crearla,
para construirla
a pesar de tristezas,
desencantos, errores,
malas jugadas
e irremediables imprevistos.
